Flying ewr to Warsaw next week. What can expect at the Warsaw airport? We have a connecting flight on Tyrol Air to Vienna. Will my luggage make the connection?
1. Poland is a Schengen country - you need to clear Immigration there - WAW-VIE is a 'domestic' flight - there would be no further Immigration control in VIE
2. You will need to clear Security as well - on they way back there will be no Security check in WAW - only in VIE (looks like Schengen countries trust each other, but do not trust these wonderful TSA folks
)
3. If you have a *A status and/or fly in C, there is a very nice *A Lounge upstairs
4. On TATL flights LOT charges for booze in Coach, OS (for WAW-VIE) does not charge for wine/beer
5. WAW is normally quite good for baggage handling
