There is a normal meal service offered on board, with a Goodnight Express option. How quickly it is served depends on the crew on the flight and from my experience the majority of pax in CW go straight to sleep.

By the time you'd be eating it'll be gone 4am UK time and after a short sector I always feel better the following day for having not eaten on board so I would agree with taking an early dinner in town.

There is a modest selection of food in the lounge (sandwiches, cookies, bagels etc).

Also, a couple of quick tips for getting through the airport.

The airport is easy to get through (though watch out for pax on Air Transat's five departures to Europe as they can be a menace - do be careful!). You can queue jump the tensa barrier queue to the security scanners and there should be a sign at one end of the start of the barriers for you to go straight through. It's very easy to miss if you don't know it's there.

The BA flights normally go from gates B58-61 and the flight is called from the lounge and priority boarding is always enforced.
