I hope you meant that you don't hear that "cheap TOD's beat out SWU's". Of course $$$$ beats out SWU and everything else as it should. First priority should go to someone willing to PAY for the seat (even if it's paying the fair dif at the airport). UA is a business and the goal is to SELL as many F seats as PSBL, not give them away. If UA had the same amnt of people willing to pay for F or C seats as SQ or EK none of us would ever get upgraded and that would be fine. The idea is to SELL as many premium seats as PSBL and give us the leftovers which is as it should be. (keep in mind I am discussing full fare VS UG's. NOT TOD's VS UG's).
