So the question is "can i make a 40 minute connection from AS to Delta at lax?"

Or, do i play it safe, and go the unpreferred route and wait 3 hours for the next (AA) flight?

If my incoming flight is late and i miss my connection, does AA or DL charge me to take the next flight? (the incoming flight is on a dft ticket)

I couldn't decipher jerry a. laska's expert flyer info (thanks for offering it though), but i'm presuming it says you need more than 40 minutes to make a lax connection.

(Actually, it'd be nice if AS would lower their fares, and i could just fly them.)
