You don't have to spend 4000 euros to get points transferred to your BAEC account. It's 2 points per euro spend even for a statusless scumbag

It was possible to set up auto transfer after each stay instead of when reaching 4000 but the link to do this on BA site is broken since they changed the name to Le club. You just need to phone them to set it up for you once you have joined Le Club.

Also, like most hotel chains they have promos, like this one which was was active during the date we stayed there....http://leclub.accorhotels.com/game/jd1/en/

My stay (thanks to our champagne guzzling) will have earned me 3444 points including Platinum bonus and this promo (once the points post).

Do you have an Amex Plat? If so you'll soon be able to get a Platinum Le Club card which will give you 4 points per euro as standard.

I think it's a pretty good program personally. I've done OK out of it
