It will likely remain unchanged. However, they may remove some of the eligible routes. AC only gives 50% of the points on discounted domestic routes, so someone flying AC in Canada has to fly more to use one of these than someone flying domestically in the US and claiming a US award. People who fly transborder a lot win, and that gives AC an advantage over the US airlines they are competing with. It's a small plus amongst all the minuses of Aeroplan.

We haven't scared you away from Aeroplan yet? I fly any major US carrier over AC if they offer a reasonable choice.
