Sofitel and no Avios....?
Correct me if I am wrong, but a recent Sofitel stay at a Sofitel very adjacent to a major BA terminal, I was quoted at check-in by the agent "No we don't recognise those cards nor credit any points or miles to them" in response to my nice gleaming BAEC GC (with GL crest in top right corner ).

If this is true either BA Executive Club should sort out a deal, or why on earth was Sofitel allowed to operate there?
