@CommittedLurker, absolutely agreed re Y-J - point taken. I haven't flown WC before (only East Coast). I think EK do try and protect the integrity of F on most sectors and only op-up to F if absolutely necessary.
The stats you quote for J-F op-ups are probably the same for most of the flights I take within APAC...
