Exactly.... My issue is that the level of service doesn't change within the same bucket. At least the previous couple of years the difference between W and M wasn't too bad (I once got it for $100 extra on a YYZ->LHR leg), now you are looking at 2x(or more) to get to the highest T+ fare. And the *only* advantage there is the potential to upgrade with fewer credits, which is not guaranteed.
If M got you something more than W as an incentive and the fewer upgrade credits were a bonus should your upgrade clear, then I might consider it, but it just doesn't seem justifiable any more.
