Used to get UDU no problem as 1P pre 3/3 as the HNL routes were easy to get a free upgrade. Noticed that even as an 1K post 3/3, it clears later now. One time I got the last seat on the 777 SFO-HNL. I like the UA crews better when flying to HNL.
I would use a RPU if I was not an 1K personally.
