Ooops...I meant DH and our 6 you have a MIDDLE and aisle seat. The 6 yo is disappointed he doesn't get to sit by the window but one wasn't available when they made the reservations.

I agree "stranger danger" isn't much of an issue on an airplane. You're right on the the other side of the your child and its not like someone can just take off with your child on the plane. I hadn't thought that another passenger would rather sit next to a small child for the extra space. But that does make sense (assuming the passenger doesn't mind children). I plan on using some of my toddler's extra space.
