As a previous long-time Gold, I find Priority boarding is over-rated.

I usually check a bag when traveling so needing bin space is not important to me. Getting on in the first couple of groups only makes me wait longer and have to deal with everyone else getting on the plane.

If not in first, I try to be one of the last people to board.
