This may seem a bit strange, but this has always bugged me.

Has anyone ever noticed how the FAs handle a drink cup when serving it from a tray? In most cases (I don't recall ever seeing it done differently), they pick up the cup by putting their hands over the lip, instead of around the bottom of the cup. Of course, the lip of the cup is the part that you have to touch with your mouth.
I've found this to be somewhat gross. I usually wipe off the lip of the cup with a napkin.

Maybe the FAs have a good reason for doing this. I don't know.
