May not be worth it to you...but it is possible to do.
Having said that, if your stays are primarily in HP, then there really isn't much difference between Diamond and Platinum.
I read my post again and I have 16 NIGHTS with a potential of 19 by June 30. I may have 40 NIGHTS by the end of the year. I'm sorry about using the incorrect terminology. I know better. You are correct that they are all Hyatt Place stays and most of the Diamond benefits are at the regular Hyatts.
I started using Hyatt Place to build points to exchange for WN points as the ended their partnership with Hilton. I like the Hyatt Place in spite of a couple of quirks and will keep staying there, qualifying for Platinum on nights, but falling short of Diamond.
If they had more properties where I work, Diamond would be easier. My Hilton use last year was 144 nights. I could get the 50 nights at Hyatt for Diamond if they had the properties and still maintain Diamond at Hilton.
