I am a (downgraded) Hilton Silver and this is my first reward stay booking so please bear with me if my questions seem naive.

In my case, I have four children who are 8, 4, 3, 1 years old, so I usually request one extra bed for my eldest son. In other words, three adults (parents) and three children would stay in a tripple room.
I am working on a standard room reward stay at Hilton Tokyo Bay. Originally, I was able to successfully book a TWIN HILTON GUESTROOM with 2 twin beds for 3 adults and 1 kid (9-yr-old). I specifically requested 2 twin beds for our 4-people reservation and the system took it.
But two days later, the hotel emailed me, stating that I'd need to have two extra beds for JPY 4000 per person/night, charged upon arrival, because:
1. "Spouse discount" doesn't apply to reward stays;
2. The 9-yr-old needs to have her own bed. Every child older than 6 needs to.
Here are my questions:
1. I thought it should be OK for two adults to share a twin bed. No? Not in this Tokyo Hilton?
2. Is it correct that "spouse discount" doesn't apply to reward stays?
3. Apparently, Hilton Tokyo Bay is asking me to have 4 beds for my 4-people reservation. We are comfortable to have the couple share one twinbed and the 3rd adult with the child in another bed. Do I have a case to only have one extra bed? I don't think we should be "forced" to pay for 4 separate beds JPY 8000 per night on our reward stay.
4. If not, would it work if I changed my reservation to Premium Room Reward? I checked and there are Tower Suite (sleeps up to 4 adults with 1 king bed) and Japanese Suites (up to 6 adults with Tatami futon beds), and TWIN CELEBRIO OCEAN (up to 4 singlebeds) that are available for our dates on the same higher rates (97659 pts/night for Suite & 76296 pts for Twin Celebrio Ocean). Am I still expected to pay for 2 extra bed in either case? I did ask the hotel about my question#4 but haven't heard back yet (Maybe the Golden Week rush in Japan).
I didn't have enough points for any suite reservation when I first made the booking. However, I can arrange to have more points transferred from AA to my Hilton account for the change to Suite or something in a few days. I rather not to pay anything extra out of the pocket for this hotel stay. I've already learned Hilton Tokyo Bay is expensive and they will try to charge the guests some extra when possible.
My goal is to have our 2-night stay totally on points. What's the best way to do about it? Any advice? I believe our knowledgeable FTers will have the best answers for me.

Thanks!
