You are correct: you have Platinum status through 2013, not just until February. This little "feature" of the Hyatt web site is an annoyance, but that's all: next February, your status will be updated to reflect the full term. Of course, by that time it sounds like you're certain to be Diamond
Thanks! I was hoping that would be the case. Being a Hilton Diamond, I am very familiar with web site anomalies. I guess everyone has them.
Diamond will be tough. My work schedule is based on a six month plan. I go to 15 different facilities in the first six months and repeat the process the last six months. I have one more three night Hyatt stay for total of 19 nights by June 30. The best I could do is another 19-20 the second half. My stays are all 3-4 nights in industrial and suburban locations, so they are all Hyatt Place stays. It is very hard to jump around and get one night stays like it is with Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden and even Doubletree.
I like the Hyatt Place. It is clearly a cut above my usual Hampton Inn and it is almost as good as the Garden Inn. I plan to keep my Diamond status at Hilton and qualify Platinum here as well each year.
