I don't see why you should get harsh replies. You have the option of using your Haribos or not, and it would therefore be unreasonable/unrealistic for your employer to demand you use them gratis. If the company wishes to be rewarded for its purchases there are other schemes that do so (see below). Exec club is to reward flyers and it awards the Haribos to flyers not their employers.
I suggest you claim for the true £value on expenses, but pay the actual cost and taxes/fees yourself . Do a Dummy booking to establish the commercial value.
As a significant shareholder and Director it would be wise for you to look at On Business for your company if you haven't done so already.
