Outraged by Executive Club Customer Service

I've been an Executive Club Member since 2000 and never had any issues with them. I receive a booklet in the mail on April 15th that clearly stated that you can spend your Avios(miles) on EuroStar. I could not find anything related to that on ba.com executive club site and I googled this forum suggesting to call Executive Club. I called them on April 29th(Sunday). After 29 minute hold I said "Hi, I got a booklet that says I could book a EuroStar train ticket using my Avios". I was cut off with the following phrase: " I'm not Avios, let me transfer you." A lady picked up the phone and I told her the same thing. She said she had nothing to do with miles and didn't understand why I was calling that number. I explained that I was transferred from Executive Club. She told me that I should call them back because they are the right people to talk to. So, I called back after another 15 minute hold a guy answers my call. I tell him that I want to book Eurostar with Avios. His response "EuroStar with Avios???? You can't do that." I told him that I have received a booklet and it says that I can. His response:" MAAAAAAM! I told you, you can call whoever sent you that booklet and ask them". I tell him:"you work for BA EC, right?" He says yes, so I say "this is who sent me the booklet, maybe you need to talk to your manager maybe you're not aware of the program?" His response: "MAAAAAM, WHEN IT'S NECESSARY I WILL BE MADE AWARE OF IT!" I should mention that his tone was plain rude. So I gave up and hung up.
I will try calling UK office tomorrow they must know more about it.
Did anyone actually succeed in booking EuroStar with Avios??
