Your best bet is CX

LAX-HKG flat seat
hkg - vietnam non-flat

since your kid is 2 years old. CX may not let the kid ride as a lap child. you should contact them for the policy. if the US number doesn't work, call the HK number. I get through every time.

you almost have enough miles for 3 F tickets.
