But this got me thinking. We were near Newfoundland at the time. If the plane had made an unscheduled stop to offload the person, after said person made a recovery, whose responsibility is it to get them to their original destination? The passenger or the airline?
I think that if the passenger were to start kicking off about it being the airline's responsibility to get them to their destination, the airline might be inclined to bill them for the additional expenses incurred - landing fees, ground handling, etc.
