I've transferred six times in the last two weeks from my US Amex MR points to my UK BAEC account, and the six times the transfer was instant. As soon as I was done with the Amex website, I clicked on my opened BAEC account tab, refreshed the page and there they were. Obviously from previous posters I think it might be different with a UK Amex.
Gotta take advantage of the 50% bonus on US Amex MR points!
