I just got off the phone with AA RTW desk. I was going to ticket a DONE04 ex-AMM in Canadian $ with a Canadian address credit card (as I have done 3 times already the past year or 2).

The agent, Robert, whom I understand is the supervisor, said very sharply, "Mr. X, you've been warned repeatedly that you must ticket this in person in Jordan or in person in Canada"!

Huh? I had no idea what he was talking about, this is the 1st I had heard that! I had previously ticketed RTW's over the phone. This ticket was set up & priced in Canadian $. I had just set up this week & talked to several different agents at the RTW desk & no one EVER mentioned such a thing. Everyone was very pleasant, as always -- except Robert! You'd have thought I was trying to steal money from him, not GIVE AA > $8,600 !!!!!

So not sure if this is the rumored end of the Canadian exception.

I should be able to ticket with my travel agent in the Middle East, but it puts me in a pickle since TA is closed until Sunday & this has to be ticketed by tomorrow.
