I applied for 2 cards and got approved for both ( with the same exact credit limit ). I just called to activate one and confirmed the bonus and it's 55K (added a user) and a $50 crdit statement. The card closes next week so I was wondering if I should make a small purchase and let the statement close and the points post before activating the 2nd card.

The 2nd card ( actually the one I applied for first) only has the 50K mile bonus as I didn't add a user ( I will do that later) and this offer didn't have the $50 statement credit. Upon discovering the better offer is the reason I applied for the 2nd card about 15 minutes after my first application.


So basically do you guys think I should wait a week foir the fiorst card to close before activating the 2nd ?
