Well, my request for retro-credit has apparently now been handled (took them only two months). I now see a line in my account statement:

LH719 ICN-MUC bla bla has already been credited

Great news, but that wasn't the flight that I wanted to be retro-credited. I had specifically indicated that the miles for the outbound leg were missing.
