The first year annual fee is £93 (£125 each year after that). Welcome bonus of 20,000 points when you spend just £1,000 in the first three months. Earn double points on petrol and major supermarket purchases for one year, plus double points on travel and foreign transactions as standard.
So basically:
Amex fee = £93
Minus £70 cashback = £23
Spend £1000 in 3 months and get 20,000 membership reward points which can be transferred into 20,000 Avois to use on BA (more if you wait for a transfer promotion).
Note: Quidco charges a £5 annual membership fee to those who haven't earnt £5+. So if you're new to Quidco, you'll get £70 cashback from Amex and Quidco will deduct £5.
It's also worth noting that Amex take aaaaaaages to pay up via quidco so don't cound on getting the cashback soon.
Once you have a Gold card you can refer folks to Platinum so you can join in with the

I would go for this myself simply to offer referrals, but I have already signed up for the Tesco Mastercard and BMI (twice) this month so my credit score must be battered right now.
