Transiting through LHR - avoid APD?
I'm looking to travel PAR-NYC, transiting through LHR, with Avios. Since there is minimal PAR-LON availability, I may need to purchase the PAR-LON segment (also with BA), and use Avios for the longhaul segment. Is there any way of booking this to avoid APD (since I'll be in London for less than 24 hours)?

Oops - subject should probably read 'Transiting through LHR on two bookings - avoid APD?'
