Thanks for the detail reported and for coming back and clarifying. It is great to know the 2-step process is doable (at a slight extra fee). It is also, I suspect, the case that not every pair of agents will be able to do this as described.
The key seems to be the o/b is not 'cancelled'; that would be a natural mistake agents could make and scupper things .
