The fine print on united.com does say "Upon cancellation of the credit card account, the United Club membership will be cancelled" but I'm wondering whether anyone has had any experience with this.

My CC had the renewal fee come up in January, so I cancelled it, but my President's Club card expiry date is the end of April. I used the President's Club card twice last week in EWR. It worked fine.
