In the first few days of March we changed some travel plans and canceled two trips @50,000 points each, taken from my account.
As of today, the miles hadn't been credited back into my account, nor the $107 in taxes credited to our UA Visa. We tried to check the refund status online today. The phone number to call on the website regarding refunds was out of service.
We then called the 1K line (no more than a two-minute wait at least

) and at the end of a 23-minute call the agent said the miles would be back in my account soon.
This is undoubtedly a no-brainer for those who monitor their MP accounts even more scrupulously than we do, but we're finding it a challenge to juggle our
MileagePlus History and
OnePass History during the transition. For another example, we're holding LX BPs from March flights and won't even try to get those credited for awhile longer.
We had to supply the dates our award flights were booked and the agent had to log into my account to find the miles removed - they seemingly had no other record. The agent had to consult and to keep us on hold for a couple of chunks of time during the 20-minutes-plus to get it sorted out.
Yes, we would have been fools
not to keep an eye on 100K miles, but I doubt we would have ever seen them again if we hadn't called.
Edited to add: Thanks mods - my post has been moved to an existing thread on the topic and I'll add that the 100,000 miles are now safely back in my MP account.
