This is what i would do if it were my AE points. My wife is currently doing this routing outbound via LX-F YUL, she could not stop raving to me on the phone about the LX F experience in flight! She found their F product to be even better than the LH F experience in the air.
Even though the ZRH FCL is small (compared to the FCL/T in FRA/MUC), it still has excellent service. Food is a lot better when ordered off the menu during lunch or dinner dining hours. Balance of time, it is a buffet spread.
on the return, if you take TG F, you will be subject to AE fuel surcharges of approx. 200$ per tix (not 100% sure as my tix were booked before the implementation of the "scamcharges".
). But!, you will have access to the TG FCL in BKK where you will be pampered with a full 1 hour SPA treatment in the Royal Orchid Spa (go to FT TG forum. It is the top sticky in the thread).
