Can't help thinking that BA could mop these up with two flights on larger aircraft. If the T5 domestic gates can take 767s, I expect we will see them operate domestic flights come the winter timetable and once the refurb work is done, particularly if any other operator enters the routes with the available slots.
I hope we will see some competition. BA are good, but it will help fares and I often think that BA is at its best where there is good competition. Not a fan of Virgin, but really don't think BA would be the airline it is without that competition on the transatlantic market.
