I dont think this is against the TOS since I'm not buying anything here, but if it is, please delete Mods.

My friend got the 100k AMEX plat card offer. He threw away the envelope or whatever, but can still get the offer online. He's a med student, so doesnt have a lot of money and doesnt like to travel much either.

So he got the offer and is willing to sell me the miles. I'd have to pay the $450 annual fee, but would get the $200 airline credits this year and next.

I'd also have to help him meet the annual spend, but this should not be an issue.

He's a friend, but not a good friend, but Im pretty sure he won't screw me over; he's a decent enough guy.

I offered him $100, but he said no. I think $250 is a nobrainer, but not sure if I should go any higher than that. I have 220k BA miles plus another 50k amex points. I dont like Delta and would probably just transfer over to BA.

Thoughts?
