Sorry to tell you but you only get miles for the flight that you actually fly on.. so in your case, you can get UA Miles but not AA miles.. I have been re-booked on EVA Air from HKG to TPE before and I did not receive mileage credit in my Asia Miles account.

If you want the credit, you can wait for the delayed flight.
