If you miss the shuttle at Kyoto Station go to the revolving sushi restaurant which is to the right if looking back towards the Station from the shuttle stop. Enjoyable way to spend time.
The rainy season will end by mid July. My wife cautions every year is different so do not be discouraged. Enjoy Kyoto!
