I wouldn't say normal or acceptable but my point was when it is suggested that one "angle" in their communications to Marriott it has the feel of someone trying to get something (free points, free stay, whatever). Not saying it wasn't a nuisance but doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Plus, without seeing pictures of the people it's hard to know. I mean was it a couple of people, who drank too much, and past out? Or was it people laying there with blankets on them? There are so many options.
