C-W-S, I assume that when heading for departures and security you went for the "main" departures entry in the middle of T1?

There is also a small entrance around the left hand side, where the bmi check-in desks are. It tends to avoid the huge throngs. Just two desks, but it puts you into the main security area on the left hand side, whereas the main throng go to the right. It is a little like a medium track, rather than fast track - but it is not Zone R (fondly remembered )
