Well, when referring to Asia, many countries there treat tattoos as taboo in general, due to things like the connotation of criminality, etc. I personally do not have an issue with a visible tattoo, although I also do not want people who are tatted up all over and have tattoos across their neck, etc. That just looks unprofessional.
