More domestic 767?
Presuming that BA want to absorb BD domestic LHR flyers, which seems evident from their fairly generous offer to BD DC status holders, will we see more 767s on domestic routes as BA tries to consolidate the BD and BA passenger load into a single schedule, with less slots than the current combined operation? BA started offering some 767s from GLA when BD dropped the LHR route, the EDI route is even bigger, so would have thought 767s on that route would have been justified too.
But, can the all the domestic piers at T5 take 767s? Also might BA review the plans to remove these planes from the fleet? Presumably the fuel efficiencies of newer planes on these shorter hops is more marginal. Plus it would be another way to scale up the fleet in terms of planes and loads. Presumably more longhaul flights will also need more shorthaul transferring passengers too.
I know the 767 has a mixed reception here, but I always used to enjoy it and found it a nice change from the Airbus. Although, must admit my shorthaul experiences are few and far between.
