Courtyard was a great concept at the time, and Marriott's marketing research was a leader in the industry. I stayed a majority of the time at Courtyards because FS properties cost more than our travel policy allowed.

However, the 'new' Courtyard illustrates that Marriott's marketing research has deteriorated, or the Marketing department doesn't pay attention to the results.
