Hi all,
So as many of you indicated might be the case, the miles were not returned to my account. I called Delta to inquire about issue. While I told them that I had paid for and had been promised a refund of "miles not used," the agent insisted that "there is nothing that I can do." This seems unfair.
I canceled my ticket on the premise that the miles be returned. I even paid to do so. I think Delta's attitude here is poor. I understand that the original agent might have been incorrect in his understanding of the rules, but why is that my problem? At the very least, here is what I would like to happen:
1. Refund of "miles not used."
or
2. Refund of $150 and re-instatement of ticket.
Any insights on how to proceed from here? Because as of now it seems that I have paid $150 for nothing whatsoever.
