Folks. I am trying to make sense of EY F award availability. Maybe those of you with more experience can help me. I am currently booked in J JFK-AUH and back in August (with onward AUH-MLE also in J). However I really want to go in F. What I have noticed is really odd: all the way from start of June there is not a single day with F availability for 2. I have not checked everything for one but did enough random ones that I don't think there is ANY F avaiability. From JFK-AUH it appears to be zero until magically August 14th F becomes WIDE OPEN. Every single day after as far as I have tested F is wide, wide open. Returning it's a similar story, every day is nothing until September 17th and then boom! Every day is wide open going back.
Any rationale to this? Most airlines tend to have the odd day here and there and you just have to piece together and out and return that match up your schedules. But for EY it seems to be either feast (i.e. pretty much the entire F cabin open every day) or famine (months of zero availability)
Anyone built any familiarity with their availability? I'm particularly interested in folks who may run booking services who have done this a lot and found some rhyme or reason.
Sadly as it stands looks like we are going to have to schlep it back in J
