More and more airlines seem to be dropping first class from their cabins in favour of expanding business or premium economy.

As part of the savings program Lufthansa has announced they will cut many (but not all) first class cabins on routes...

So, does this mean that BA and others still offering first will now reconsider and stop doing so in favour of more business class and premium economy seats?

I for one hope not! I know that many have already dropped first from their program but I had hoped that the remaining airlines would be able to make a go of it...
