one way i've found that works reasonably well is the e-ticket receipt on your DL itineraries page.
once the ug clears, the ug/sby list becomes screwy 'you must check in for that flight', etc - but the receipt starts showing V/X instead of T in the class/cabin

that's when i know i need to leave the sfo lounge and go through my tsa patdown
