Stayed at the Embassy Suites Kansas City Airport last week. Checked in on Friday April 13, when all the talk was about the tornados predicted for Kansas City and Wichita. I asked the front desk clerk what the tornado proceedures were. She had no idea, so she checked with her superviser. I was told if the sirens go off we are instructed to stay in our rooms, get in the bathtub and pull a mattress over our heads. I said, "REALLY, on the seventh floor of the hotel?"

I take issue with this. I asked about any space underground and was advised that is for "employees only".

Fortunately, we were spared. What would you all do if the sirens went off and those were your instructions?
