OT: bad experience with Cathay / dragon. Is BA so bad when things go wrong?
It would have been as bad. On melt down days it is awful. BA will not now provide hotels for weather related delays.
In my view, excellent insurance and patience are needed in such circumstances, the insurance to cover hotels meals and drink until you can get a seat on a confirmed basis.
I do however sympathise and empathise about the child care issue, it is an added pressure.
