There is hope I've worked out but it's complex. When he moved to silver in May last year, he should have gone to silver on his flight between Wellington and Sydney but they forgot to post it until much later and then took the points away again as it was in the previous year, if you follow. They therefore used his Syd -LHR for his reaching J so he lost points in the reset. If Syd - LHR had been in this year as it should, we would not be having this discussion!!
