I agree a CEO's responsibility is to the share holders and not customers ... however this recent "merger" has been very frustrating ...
United has always been a mediocre at best airline but is part of the Star Alliance (far better than any alliance) ... What kept me loyal was the FF program which made things a little nicer for the frequent traveler.
However, now the FF program is a royal pain ... crappy website, goofball deletion of intl upgrade requests at 24 hours, customer service has been blaming the merger for 7 weeks now but how long should I wait? This will eventually lead to brand erosion and revenue lost.
United still is "mediocre" but the FF program now "sucks".
I already have Emirates silver because of the new system.
