When searching for CPH-NRT in the ANA engine, you only get some of the possibilities like CPH-NRT direct, CPH-FRA-NRT and CPH-VIE-NRT. Other possibilities like CPH-MUC-NRT, CPH-ZRH-NRT and CPH-IST-NRT you will have to seach for individually. Perhaps it´s the same for the agents - and they just default to saying "no seats available" when the main seach doesn´t display CPH-ZRH-NRT ??

I think the problem with the SAS Award search function is that the agent types CPH-ZRH-NRT and gets a result saying No Award Space, so the agent thinks, ok this is not gonner work.
But if the agent searches CPH-ZRH, ZRH-NRT, NRT-ZRH, ZRH-CPH she will get a list of all lights that day with award space. But as she said to me: Honey, you will get a much longer connection if going through Zürich in stead of the CPH-MUC-NRT booking you already have. I told her that Swiss Business class is light years ahead of what Lufty has to offer, even on the A380 with I were book on at the return leg. She said: Oh really? I will book you on CPH-ZRH-NRT right away. And so she did. She even called me back 10 minutes later to check if I knew how much LH group charges in YQ, nice of her.
