20 years late is better than never

Really, the 5 year Canadian passport is a scandal. I have EU and US passports as well--they've always been 10 year renewal. My Aussie/British/Canadian husband's Oz passports are 10 year renewals.

This is a cash cow/grab, nothing else. As for the "losing $3 on each one", that might make sense IF WE DIDN'T ALSO PAY TAXES.

It's about time our government grows up and gives us world-standard passports. 10 year validity, digital.
