First the Air Blue crash and now this. Are the pilots not trained to handle thunderstorms and rain? Was the plane fully fit to even fly?

Given that this is in Pakistan, we may never really know what the truth is.
Very sad indeed. My sympathies to the families of loved ones who were on the flight....

I wish that the US NTSB would take charge of the investigation so that the families involved may learn the truth after the investigation. Pakistan I doubt has any capabilities or resources of investigating air crashes.
Most Pakistani pilots are ex-PAF pilots who are considered some of the best trained pilots in the world. Plus the dual Islamabad Airport / Chaklala Airbase isnt foreign to most of these military pilots. Now I am not too certain about the safety processes and airworthiness of these secondary airlines of Pakistan.

I just came back from a visit to Pakistan this last sunday and this news really was upsetting considering the great time I spent in Lahore and Peshawar.
